Headed to HPU!!

Durham commits to High Point

NOBLESVILLE -- Noblesville senior Brittany Durham has committed to play volleyball at High Point University, according to her Team Indiana club coach Michelle Hamblen Coleman.

Durham, who is on track to graduate in December, is entering her third year as a starter for the Millers. The 5-foot-10 outside hitter was named honorable mention All-Hoosier Crossroads Conference last season.

First Day of School

Not much to say - they're "old pros". They both LOVE their teachers! The Peacock started school this year after being homeschooled since 3rd grade. She seems to really like NCS and will be playing for their volleyball team which means we'll have three in sports this fall - should be fun :=)

Great Times

Our firm recently sponsored a family day at Great Times. Here are a few shots of the kids on the bumper boats and the car that the Chipmunk COULD drive. The Roadrunner was bummed that he couldn't drive a go-cart!!

Supperthyme

I've had a link to Supperthyme on our blog for quite some time, but I wanted to share a little more about how much we LOVE this place. There are many "dinner places" to choose from these days, and we have tried several of them. By far, Supperthyme has been our absolute favorite!! In fact, I think we have purchased meals from them every month for probably the last three years. When I went in today to pick up my meals, I asked the owner if they were struggling because of the economy. With what looked to be tears in her eyes, she answered "yes" and indicated they could be closing in September :=( So in an effort to prevent this from happening (and for very selfish reasons), I wanted to put in a plug for Supperthyme! They are located off of US 32 in Westfield, and their web site is http://www.supperthymeusa.com/. We love the variety of the monthly menus, the convenience of just having to pull something out of the freezer for dinner (minimizing meal planning and grocery shopping), and all in all I think it's a great deal!! If you have a smaller family, you can 1/2 the dishes and end up with twice the number of meals for a month! Check them out. I don't think you'll be disappointed!!!

Life

I was sitting down looking over the old posts on our blog and realized just how crazy things have been around here lately - comparing last year's summer events with a complete absence of events and blogging this summer :=( If you've kept up with me on Facebook, you know that I returned to work about a month ago. Life hasn't been any crazier in terms of the kids' schedules, but add in an almost full-time job for me, and things go to a whole new level!! It's definitely a new season, and God is working it all out. I'm excited to see what He has in store for us. Some of the BIG changes to come....the Peacock will be heading off to school for the first time since 2nd grade, and the Beast may be leaving for college in six months!!!! I'm not quite sure which part of the roller coaster we're on, but we're going to sit back, throw our hands in the air and enjoy the ride :=)
